Cardboard Cutting - Death of a box

Here is a little test I did with a 7.25" blade made of 5160. This blade was flat ground with convex edge and rough finished to about 320 grit on the grinder.. The edge was sharpened using crook sticks.

The victim here was a very large 50 Gal water heater cardboard box.. The blade was never resharpened during the cutting.. The blade preformed very well through hundreds of cuts (no, i did'nt count them)...
